Happy New Year!
Jan 6th, 2010 by Gretchen
The new year brings with it a bit of schizophrenia, especially for mom-preneurs. The close of the previous year, the books, preparing for taxes, etc. The planning and visioning of the year to come. Coming off of vacation with the kids to a full inbox and way too much to do. Help, how do we manage it all? Well if you’re me, you head off to Mexico. Hummmm, on second thought maybe not such a good choice in the future. But for now, here I am facing another vacation right on the heals of the holidays.
Today’s Mom-preneurial Advisory Board was focused on closing out last years books and strategically looking forward to 2010. The key to planning and goal setting is to be sure that what you declare as a goal is in TRUE ALIGNMENT with your values – your intrinsic values – not external drivers. When our goals are about what we THINK we want, or what others want of us or what we think we SHOULD do, they are bound to fail. So this year, clarify your values first, THEN declare your goals.
